Frequenty Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
No insurance is currently accepted. We are currently an “out-of-network” provider, which means you would pay for your care at the end of your visit. We will provide you with a detailed bill called a “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. There are also apps that can help you with this!
Unfortunately, Medicare does not reimburse for provider visits, but other services are covered.
Will insurance cover my visits?
Most insurances cover “out-of-network” providers depending on your policy. We recommend contacting your insurance company to be sure. Superbills will be provided for clients seeking reimbursement from their insurance for “out-of-network” provider expenses.
Does insurance cover lab testing?
Laboratory and imaging are billed separately by the laboratory and radiology companies, and insurance can be used to cover these services. Our EHR system is currently linked to Quest Diagnostics, and soon Lab Corp. We offer specialty lab testing from Boston Heart, Genova, ZRT, and Precision Analytical. Each company has a reduced cash pay price. Many labs offer in-home lab testing which can be very convenient. Routine lab tests are usually covered by PPO plans. HMO plans may require your HMO's primary care provider to order them. Special tests may require you to check with your insurance company. Clients may use flexible spending (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) to cover the cost of labs. Many tests are covered by Medicare.
What integrative therapies do you recommend?
After a complete assessment including a health history, physical exam, and lab testing, your provider will suggest a combination of modalities including nutritional supplements, herbal formulations, appropriate diet and activity to optimize your health and well-being. We also encourage mindset work with health coaching and goal setting. We can prescribe medications and order conventional therapies if indicated.
Where can I purchase recommended nutritional and herbal supplements? Are supplements covered by insurance?
Your provider will prescribe medications through our online EHR system for herbal medications and supplements like conventional medications. We offer many therapies through Fullscript at a 10% discount and or will recommend where to purchase them. Most insurance plans do not cover supplements, however clients can use FSA and HSA accounts to cover these costs.
What is your cancellation policy?
We encourage clients to call at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule appointments. There is a $50 fee for a missed appointment.

What is a nurse practitioner?
Nurse practitioners (NPs) are nurses with advanced training in diagnosing and treating health conditions. NPs are master’s or doctorally prepared with numerous clinical and didactic hours in primary care, acute conditions, and chronic disease. NPs are required to undergo national certification, peer review, ongoing education, and professional development. NPs can provide a complete history and physical, order laboratory tests and imaging, interpret results, prescribe medications, counsel and educate clients. Many NPs also provide specialty services. What is special about working with an NP, is their comprehensive and holistic approach to health and their connection to their clients.
